LAND ACQUISITION

Since 1985, Jackson Land Corporation and affiliated entities have been purchasing value added opportunities in raw or partially entitled residential land and lender owned properties (REO). A sample of some of our transactions:
  • 1,000+ acres in Northern California purchased from Traveler's Insurance as part of a 1031 Tax deferred exchange
  • 400+ acres in Stanislaus County and construction of a dairy used to trade for 99 lots in the Inland Empire
  • 91 finished residential lots and 5 partially completed models purchased from a California bank owned by a Canadian bank in receivership that acquired the asset as an REO
  • Purchase of commercial office building from a California regional bank that had acquired the asset in foreclosure, and purchase of underlying ground lease from the Irvine Company
  • Purchase of over 50 one-acre residential lots involved in a bankruptcy and foreclosure
  • Purchase of a distressed infill property with expired entitlements from foreclosing Japanese bank
  • Purchase of balance of a foreclosed condominium townhome complex from a small regional bank
  • 35 finished lots and 4 models purchased from a bank holding company as REO
  • Purchase of surplus school district property
  • Superpad purchase of 106 lots in master planned community
  • 64 lots purchased from a private investment group
  • Probate purchased property
  • Purchase of uncompleted foreclosed townhome complex from a large California commercial bank
